Using Two Different Phone Numbers - TekSavvy Community

Our Grandstream ATA will work with 2 different numbers

While this is complicated it can be done. The first thing to note you need two different TekTalk orders with us. This means you will be charged the full rate for the second number on another order with your account.

You will also need another phone system to plug into the back of the Grandstream. On the back, you will see a Phone 1, and Phone 2 port. If the Phone 2 port has a sticker covering it you would remove it during the process.

Next, once the phone order is completed you will need to reach out to us. We need you to enable remote access into your Grandstream ATA. As we will need to configure the new number in the device to work using Phone 2. Once completed, you can plug in another phone set into the Phone 2 port and it will connect using the second number.

Can I use my own SIP phone system?

It may be possible, but it is not supported. You would need to reach out to the manufacturer to ensure 2 numbers can be assigned to that device. We would then provide you with the information you need for the new number. After that, you would need to reach out to the proper support channels on configuration on your SIP phone system.
