It is possible to connect your Grandstream ATA to a Router.
- Setup the modem so that it receives internet access.
- Connect the Router's WAN/Internet port to the LAN port on the back of the modem.
- Connect the ATA's WAN port to one of the LAN ports on the back of the Router.
- Connect a phone handset to the PHONE1 port on the back of the ATA.
However, even set up correctly this may not function properly. You may need to port forward on your Router for your ATA to properly work. We have a full guide on the basics of that here.
If you run into any trouble, we do request you connect Modem, the ATA, to your router as normal. As there may be additional blocks in your router which you will need to reach out to them for.
