Screenshots and old postings could be for another area or outdated. As our approved modems can change over time with infrastructure changes. Even if it was posted recently it is highly recommended that you check on the Website. It is even possible there are two Vendors in your city! Each one has its own approved list so even if they can use a model at their location, you may not be able to.

DSL Internet

DSL is in two different categories currently. ADSL2+ and VDSL. You first need to figure out what plan you have with us or the one you ordered. If you are unsure, please reach out to an agent to go over your plan with you.

ADSL2+ DSL 15/1 or lower

You can use any ADSL2+ modem with this service. This includes combination and stand-alone modems. Since there are many on the market, we do not have a full list outlining every one of them. We can confirm as long as it is an ADSL2+ modem it will work with these plans with no issues. Keep in mind, since there is a large selection, we are not trained in each model. You may need to reach out to the manufacture or look up a manual on programming your PPPoE.

VDSL DSL 15/10 and higher

Ontario and Quebec customers should stick within the SmartRG models, Home Hubs (also known as Sagemcom), and certain TP-Link VDSL modems. You can attempt any other modem with VDSL abilities but they are not supported. Some modems will not sync and we do not compensate you if you run into problems with models we do not provide. These can even include the posted modems as only SmartRG and Home Hubs are confirmed to work with no issues.

Alberta and British Colombia on the other hand can use any VDSL modem. All of them will sync in these areas. Keep in mind since there is a large selection, we are not trained in each model. You may need to reach out to the manufacture or look up a manual on programming your PPPoE.
