To get a new IP address you need to unplug your modem from the power source a full 15 minutes. A new IP should be generated once it reconnects. If you have a Static IP you must request a change from an agent.
We do apologize the IP address cannot be changed like it can be on DSL. It is assigned via an 3rd party in blocks and we have no way of requesting a new one to be pushed. You can attempt the following steps. Keep in mind they are not guaranteed to work. We also do not provide any compensation in the matter if they do not work.
First step is to Release and Renew your IP.
Windows: In your command prompt type “ipconfig /release” and press enter
Next type “ipconfig /renew” and press enter
Mac: Apple button > System Preferences > Network > Ethernet > Advanced > Click "Renew DHCP Lease"
If you still receive the same IP address please plug directly into your modem and remove the router in full. If you are using a combination unit, bridge the modem. Unplug the modem from the power and Coax for 5 minutes. Then start by only plugging in the power and waiting for the modem to reboot. Then plug back in the Coax cable and check your IP address. If it is still the same please push and hold the factory reset button on the back of your modem for 15 seconds.
The last step you can attempt is unplugging your modem from the power and Coax for a full 24 hours.
